Red Diamonds

Red diamonds are almost certainly the rarest of all gemstones. So few red diamonds exist, in fact, that for a jeweler to have one is quite a treat. Although colored diamonds in general tend to be highly sought after, red diamonds are by far the most desirable.

How Many High Quality Natural Red Diamonds Exist?

It is claimed that less than twenty natural, gem quality red diamonds are known to exist today. However, our cultured red diamonds are of a higher quality than these known red diamonds, yet identical to a natural diamond in every way, thus making them an excellent choice.

How Much Do Red Diamonds Cost?

Natural red diamonds, should they go up for sale, can cost millions of dollars. The largest red diamond ever graded by the GIA Lab is a 5.11-carat stone which eventually sold for around $8 million. This stone was called the Moussaieff Red, as it was purchased for this amount by Moussaieff Jewelers. Smaller versions of these stones, such as ones which are a carat or less, could sell these days for $2 million or more.

However, our cultured red diamonds cost mere thousands of dollars, compared to the millions of dollars commanded by their natural brethren. Our cultured diamonds are of such high quality that it would be impossible to tell the difference between natural red diamonds and our cultured red diamonds. Why pay millions, when you can own high quality red diamonds for thousands?
